You Know The Song

Tuesday, December 11th, 2007

Whenever the Lone Ranger appeared, you’d always hear the same rousing strain of music. It filled your heart with the faith that good would be done, the weak protected, and evil vanquished. This was some great music.

Oddly enough, it wasn’t named after the Lone Ranger. It was named after another legendary (and real) hero.

The song was the William Tell Overture.

Now, William Tell was a real guy living back in Olden Times. He was famous as a patriot and as a great marksman. This combination was very nearly to prove his undoing.

You see, William Tell lived in a town ruled by a foreign despot. All the townsfolk were forced to make a sign of obedience to a hat on a high pole in the town square as a sign of acceptance of the foreign power.

And William Tell refused to do this.

So, the oppressors gave William Tell a particularly tough task to accomplish to save his life. He had to shoot an apple off the top of his own son’s head.

With a crossbow.

Now, since they have a great song about him, you must know that he succeeded in hitting his mark the very first time. And, that’s why today he’s considered a national hero, an example of patriotism and marksmanship.

How’d you like to become a hero?

Now’s the time for you to get your very own crossbow.

This is a super compact, utterly up to date, one-handed model. This Pistol Crossbow has a fifty pound draw, so you’ll be grateful for its cocking lever. Crossbows have far more accuracy and power than the older-fashioned Robin of Sherwood models you may have tried to use out at the School Forest all those many years ago.

The Pistol Crossbow features durable fiber construction, adjustable sights, and a safety. It can unleash a bolt (crossbow arrow) at 200 feet per second to perforate the target of your choice all the way out to SIXTY yards. (Even better, each Pistol Crossbow comes complete with three bolts!)

Develop your aim and have some fun,

Steve Lane

P.S. This is fun, but it’s no toy.

Hit what you’re aiming at and enjoy a totally new kind of sport that’s centuries old.
